My other point and perhaps heads up is we (Spirit) have arbitrarily just been assigned an additional duty on average adding 20-60 minutes to our duty day, with no pushback from our Union reps, that I am aware of, that involves the deplaning time period.

Someone also pointed out how the Spirit policy is certainly flawed in that boarding the passengers does not require a pilot to supervise.

Just to clarify: For NK the requirement to stay on board is only when terminating without MX there, or for international arrivals into FLL due to the amount of issues with disembarkation and GPUs. (OB 22-11R2)
The termination checklist has always required a pilot to wait till the last passenger had left. If MX is there to take over, or if there's a change of crew there is no need to wait in the aircraft till the other crew is there, just make sure power and air are hooked up before you kill the APU and run. The only new thing: if your last leg is an international arrival into FLL, you are hosed. Any time we have to wait till pax are gone should trigger 0:15 pay at least, but that won't happen because apparently we should be okay with only getting paid if it moves...

Obviously our policy is not consistent. It specifically allows passengers to board with a cold/dark cockpit, but prohibits the excact same situation for deplaning. Does it really matter what way the people are walking when it gets dark? And how does it comply with the recommendation in COM 1 3.1.25 (max 20 minutes without AC) because the FAs will not be able to ask ramp to hook up air... And I don't think FLL is any worse then MCO for quality of GPU/GAC.
