Have you been paying attention the last several years? There was no steering. TI and his sycophants didn’t give one flying F about the pilot group, only themselves. Hence years of LOAs followed up by a TA that may as well have been a copy/paste of Mgmts opening offer letter.

No, the time for “steering” is/was long past.

The recalls are an unfortunate necessity. Our previous leaders were incapable of negotiating in our best interest and using leverage.

Will the UAL pilot group do what is necessary for the best TA possible? Time will tell. The future is in our hands, we could have an industry leading TA tomorrow if we choose, or we can continue to be Kirby’s friend and pick up premium time. Make no mistake, the consensus of the pilot group is responsible for the current mess.

We have nobody to blame but ourselves. We want to win the war but we refuse to fight any battles.
