If the Jet Blue deal goes south, F9 is still waiting in the wings to scoop NK up. And management could probably go right back to their old sweetheart deals with Franke and company. I’d almost be willing to settle for Jet Blue rates just to keep that from happening, because that may well be a better deal than you’d get on a JCBA with F9.

That may also be the reason management is slow-rolling this.
