New hires would never see those bases. Not sure that helps recruiting. I don't see us going back to Dallas. We had a base and closed it, abandoned the market. I don't see us going back to CVG or BOS either. I know, it's right around the corner
but its been there for 10 years. We are always making excuses to do BOS "in the near future." BOS has become synonymous with the 787 at Delta.
I don’t think anyone here is talking about opening new hubs in these cities. Given our ongoing NB fleet consolidation, small 320 or 737 bases would be feasible in many cities with little change to our existing network.
The company has done this for many years for FAs. It would absolutely benefit pilot recruitment. It would also likely take a complete turnover of our current management team to ever occur.
