Are they not now the highest paid 737 drivers with a snap up if the others do top them later? Someone had to go first and they may end up being the best paid for a while if the economy tanks and it takes years before anyone else gets something done. I guess it is possible they could have done better, but that is always the case in negotiations. Honestly, the majority of pilots at NetJets would probably be better off leaving for AK now. That said, many of us have some golden handcuffs and won't be leaving.
I'm not a big fan of Minrest when he comes to the fractional board and spouts "facts" that haven't been true for some time, but I don't have a problem when he relates things that are true. He hasn't been cheerleading his new contract, but I guess I will a little. It is better paying than the others now. Hopefully it leads the others to do way better and the snap up brings them up also. It certainly makes our base salary look weak.
