No, not true at all...unless you go to a school whose name starts with the words "United States".

Honestly, regional hiring is done by regional pilots. A career path that was spoon-fed courtesy of the trust fund won't impress most of those interviewers...in fact, they might prefer somebody who had to work a little harder for it.
