Seems like the strategic messaging machine is in full effect. The article even goes on to explain that the number of "commercial" pilots aren't yet ATP pilots and the ATP pilot numbers will barely keep up with projected retirements. Doesn't really sound like the HUGE pilot wave that our company makes it out to be.
