The current deal, while insufficient to a few of the labor groups involved, had gains that were achieved exactly because of the leverage created by the cooling off and PEB. So while you may chide the Biden admin, he likely did more for the labor groups than the Orange admin would have.
Besides, the Republicans’ current talking points are all about inflation, the economy, etc. So with that in mind, what would they then say if Biden allowed the whole country to be totally shut down during a rail strike?

I’ll bet if they paid train conductors half what we pay 350 captains they would have no trouble passing their ta. Biden is bending them over the barrel, just like Reagan did to the controllers, but 2022 style. Just because he is better that terrible doesn’t make him good, at all.
