Do you guys think United cares more about PIC time or a larger type rating? I'm a low time regional FO wondering if I should stay and try and upgrade, or try and go to a ULCC and try and get an A320 or 737 type. Any ideas which would get me to United first? FWIW. I mentor several pilots and provide career counseling. One the pilots I mentor just got a CJO at UAL. 2500 total time. No 4 Year Degree. Left Commutair after 700 hours for Frontier and on the line for 6 months for about 300 hours. NO PIC Time. He definitely did much better then staying at a Commutair waiting for flow through.
