FWIW. I mentor several pilots and provide career counseling. One the pilots I mentor just got a CJO at UAL. 2500 total time. No 4 Year Degree. Left Commutair after 700 hours for Frontier and on the line for 6 months for about 300 hours. NO PIC Time. He definitely did much better then staying at a Commutair waiting for flow through.
I’ll remember reading this when you boys eventually have one of these Frontier zero to hero new hires bend metal, hopefully not sacrificing human life in the process.
This thread is an absolute embarrassment. I can’t believe what I’m reading. United’s “hiring department” prioritizing picking candidates from their competitors, no matter the flight time and credibility, over hiring quality candidates with some Turbine PIC on the resume is shocking. I would expect to read this in a low cost carrier thread.
