Maybe many of you know this already, but as an FNG, I just recently figured out some jumpseat protocol... In CASS: DAL, ASA, and company j.s.( is this true for all DCI's?), we are designated "OH" and add 60 to the front of emp# and plus 00 on the end (i.e. 60XXXXX00).
For OAL jumpseats, we are still "OH" but the emp # entered is 0 plus emp# only (as shown on the back of our i.d. badges). Recently traveled j.s. on Spirit, United Express, and AA...all the crews and agents were very gracious!!
...but none of the agents knew what to input into CASS, so you may need to let them know.
I looked for this kind of info on the ALPA jumpseat guide and could not find anything. Is this stuff posted anywhere? Also, anyone know where I can find a list of the airlines that would allow us to do Int'l jumpseat, if any?
