Before you go ranting on about the current administration and such just realize that before this war (or these two wars if you like to think of it that way) the last Democratic administration used the military in operations more than anyone in the last 30 years or so; and put the military in situations either where we shouldn't have been or in situations without proper support.
Just because the the leadership *might* change (and by this I mean the party) this coming election - it does not mean that the military still won't be engaged somewhere, doing something, and sons and daughters will be lost to conflict. It is what we do.

Hold on I am not some flower waving liberal ultra pacifist that will be against all military interventions, but I do not agree with Iraq, Afghanistan I support 120%, and I will have no problem with any future administration using force when it is the last resort to defend our freedom or when it might be necesary for the greater human good (a la Kosovo, etc). I understand that service men will likely die in these conflicts, but I feel that Iraq is a waste, and it is sad when 18-22 year old lives are wasted like this, I have friends that have gone to Iraq and I would hate to see them die. This is why I fight for an end to this, if this is unpatriotic then maybe patriotism is overrated.
