So, the original poster obviously has an opinion on the matter, but when ONE PERSON goes slightly against what the OP says, everybody hates him. Man, it must be nice to be a perfect Conservative Republican. I guess it is anti-American to have an opinion?

Hmm I dont think I am following this. The guy was misunderstood... I took no offence to what he was saying, and I for one, encourage free speach on everyones part. Having opinions is what founded the Stats anyhow. Do I think the guy that got flamed was a bit off base in the reply, yea. And there were several people that didnt think the same thing, and not anyone person was flamed terribly. Or did you even take the time to read all of the posts?

However, if you want some flame.... Here it is. I suggest you keep your nonsensical quasi idiotic comments, like the one above, to yourself. All they do is promote flaming... And I love me some cooked troll.

I had the same thing happen when I was going through flight school. I was in a military exchange when a little girl came up and started tugging on the leg of my flight suit. When I looked down she said "daddy". An embarrassed mom came running up to me and said that her daughter thought anyone in a flight suit was her daddy............ Ahhhh, the military.....one happy family.

I spent 9 years in the service and we def need to have/show our support for the troops who are there right now. I personally do not agree with our people being in Iraq, but if we don't keep our support towards them this will turn into another vietnam era where people were forgotten or even resented/insulted for being there.

I can tell you from personal experience that the support of the American people really does go a long way when you are fighting a war in another country and feel alienated. Also people in the military are very anti-war. Think about it, they don't want to leave their families or loved ones and possibly die, but know that they have too if called upon.

The beauty of this country is freedom, freedom to even oppose the people that volunteered or gave up their lives to protect that freedom. Just remember that next time you oppose our troops. Good or bad they have protected your freedom for a couple hundred years.

Hopefully we can be out of that mess soon enough with a change in leadership.

So your pride was hurt because one of your threads was shut down, and now you're going try to screw everyone else. Give me a break, fella.

In any case, although this thread has touched on political issues, it is more of a response to one or two individuals' rather questionable comments, not about who is right or wrong politically. The mods made a good choice to keep it open.

Sorry, but it wasn't one of my threads, fella. It seems to me that it has also become about who is right and who is wrong politically. It was originally a good topic but now people are hurling insults at each other (very mature by the way - but I mean we are all pilots so perhaps I'm expecting too much). I try to take the high-road and am thrown under the (air)bus.

Well I am certainly not trying to promote flaming, if I cam across as so, I apologize. I got the impression that the guy got flamed for having an opinion other than the OP. Turn my words into what you want...
