Doesn't matter if you make $400/hr, you will still get the "oh, ok cool" when someone asks what airline you fly for.
i was checking I to the hotel on my overnight. It was myself and 5 other NK pilots. The guest in front of us made small talk with one of the other pilots. When asked who we work for, the guy said Spirit and without hesitation, she made a “oh God” sucking sound through her teeth loud enough for all of us to hear it.
The hardest part of the job really is telling people who we fly for.
