Thus far, Delta's line level management has been against the merger for a host of reasons. Delta's Board is a different story. Anderson & Bastian have both been quoted as saying that the merger does not makes sense without pilot agreement.

The Delta pilots are organized and cohesive. I'm sure they could mount a damaging campaign, but for all of our interests I hope things do not go down that road with $110 a barrell oil. Anybody at NWA, or Delta, want to be a US Air pilot? I didn't think so.

Bar,

It's pilots vs. management, it's always pilots vs. management. Was management on the pilots side when they cancelled pensions? Was management on the pilots side when they slashed wages and benefits?

We have to stand together, they will use the economy and fuel costs to try to cram this merger down our throats. We have to fight for new scope with less RJs, and protect the jobs of ALL DAL and NWA pilots. I don't want to get fuloughed, but I will walk if they expect us to roll over take this merger without better pay and a equity stake. We can't tear each other apart over this. We must be unified. It's ALWAYS pilots vs. management.
