The union just said that people that have been recently hired should consider leaving for carriers with better contracts. Someone does just that, and FDX uses it as an opportunity to make an example of what happens when you listen to what the union says. I’m shocked that anyone is surprised. I don’t think it’s going to change anything but the fact that people leaving will definitely not give extended notice that they are leaving, and do everything they can to ensure that the PRIA isn’t sent until they have given minimal notice. The person fired had to be on probation otherwise ALPA would be all over it. For the record, I think it’s BS that they were let go like that though.
