They are NOT using Delta, American and United in their negotiations behind closed doors. You will be thrilled becasue the jr. guys got a raise from $86k to say $106K. It doesnt take a Union to negotiate that because here is what will happen, FLEX will raise to $110k to be MORE than NJ without any kind of crazy billboards and pilots in their blazers walking around Palm Beach acting like they are on strike. If you cant figure that out, then I cant help you!
I’m not sure where your anti-union sentiment comes from, but I’m glad you found a home at Flexjet.

For those looking to decide between the two companies, I’m sure you can find all the data you need on pay and work rules. Compare and contrast that data to determine if one works better for you than the other. But the core difference between the two is the presence of a union. So what you need to ask yourself, is do you want to work at a union shop? Both have their pros and cons.

I hope Flexjet and Netjets continue to push each other. Rising tides and all that. That works great when times are good as they are now. I came to make a career at Netjets from a non-union shop because I experienced first hand what can happen when a company is able to degrade your compensation and benefits package whenever it suits them. The contract, thanks to the union, at Netjets provides a substantial level of stability. Not withstanding the few events that can allow a company out of contract or the ratification of a new contract, I can tell you exactly what my compensation package will be in, say, three years. Can you do that at Flexjet?

I will gladly walk wherever my union asks me to achieve the contractually protected gains that this pilot group deserves.
