Furlough of 1000 pilots next month is an impossibility based on 4a2b or 2c. I'm saying that if Fedex were to loose a portion of the USPS contract, we would have a massive overstaffing problem added to the one we currently have but the company would still need to jump thought the hoops of 4a2b prior to furlough if I"m not mistaken. If the airline ends up being shrunk down to the size that would only support 4500 pilots, then 1000-1500 would need to go one way or another, voluntary or involuntary. I'm not saying any of this will happen, just saying it's a possibility inlight of the current corporate structure of downsizing.

On the other hand, we are only one nasty global virus away from another COVID repeat where we get to be called on by management to step up to the plate and save the world again in exchange for a lot of pats on the back...
