Well for one, there isn’t anyplace to sit sideways here. So luck doesn’t have anything to do with it.
I asked if he’d like to trade my 9 years aa a regional FO before finally getting to upgrade due to age 65 and the economy.

Thank you. I would gladly go back to 2004 and sit sideways instead of flying the crappy turboprop I was flying then. It took me over 20 years to get to here. I would absolutely exchange some sideways time in my late 20's to be a senior Captain here with 20 years vested into my retirement.
