Indeed. Strangely enough, under the old regulation model if an airline got in bad enough shape financially a larger (or at least more prosperous) airline was often COMPELLED to buy them. And if either JetBlue or Spirit do poorly enough, that’s sort of what I’d expect DOJ to be pushing for now to avoid the loss of competition that woukd otherwise occur. The DOJ anti monopoly people are a kind of schizophrenic lot.
