I'm surprised the lack of NB CA isn't more of a problem. EWR 777 FOs have an LCC of 77 so they can fly a 6-day W, a 4-day, and 20 days off. Upgrade to 737 for an LCC of 90 and 13 days off? Nope.
This is the big problem. WB is way too easy of a life. Its the #1 reason pilots from other majors are saying they left their carriers to come to United. Widebody flying. We are attracting QOL people who want easy lives, and even someone that can leave another airline and be a Captain in almost any base in a year isn’t causing them to leave as much as being a WB FO as a new hire.
