That's crazy, Delta ADG is 5:15 so 90/5:15 would be a little better. But also they've optimized our trips so much that we fly more like 6-7 block per day which results in hard days, short overnights, but I guess more days at home. Pick your poison

I’d prefer that. I am happy to work when at work and appreciate more days at home - but that’s me.

it all depends what the limiting factor is. In IAH it’s FOs until hiring catches up. In other bases it’s CA. But the overall situation is that 737 CA are in short supply. It’s just a matter of time until a 90 hour line will show up near you.

I used to be like that. I wanted extremely productive trips, where you fly hard, short overnight, and then grind it out hard again to maximize days off. I thought the senior guys wanting good layovers were nuts. Now that I’m senior and the kids are out of the house, I’ve turned into one of them. I still don’t care where the layover is, but I just want an easy trip where I have the opportunity for a good workout, a nice meal, followed by a good night sleep. Avoiding more than 2 legs per day, sit time over 2 hours, and duty from 2300-0600 local base time makes for some pretty easy trips. They’re not nearly as productive as what could be held, but I feel much better during and after a trip.

We will all be in short supply when the deliveries start showing up. They’re currently front loading the staffing to try to stay ahead, so right no we’re a little fat. Once the deliveries start showing up we’re going to be way behind unless the company decides to fix the unfilled vacancies.

They already are. I see them on the schedule…about 4 a month on average out of BFI.

We’ll be taking an delivery about every 3 days once the max 10 is certified and the Airbus orders start showing up. Right now is just a trickle.
