Commuting really is a non issue, you’re going to be working.
That’s the result of the NB’s replacing RJ flying. I would assume your QOL will get much worse before it ever gets better on the NB fleet. The regionals will only shrink for the next few years, then another few years to recover if they ever recover? Hopefully not.

Southwest line holders average 17-18 days off per month with around the same credit. I would think guaranteed days off per month would be an emphasis item in your upcoming TA because clearly UA scheduling struggles to put together efficient line pairings.

why would it ever get better? Once they figure out that they can get away with it they will stick to max pilot utilization

You guys only get 13 days off as a lineholder? Is that only in really high credit months or is this normal? At Delta I've never had less than 15 off as a 737 lineholder and 17-18 is fairly normal.

90/5=18

All 737 captain lines are 90 hours or close because they’re so short-staffed

That’s not true except for junior line holders. I haven’t been awarded over 78 hours in a long time and average 15-16 days off per month. Lots of 70 hr awards on the 737 this month too (IAH). EWR seems higher than either DEN, IAH, or ORD, but still plenty of 78 hour lines with 16 days off. If you’re junior though, you have to take what is left which means that you’re going to fly high time lines.

We are seeing different things. I audited this a few days ago to gauge my own interest, and every April line in IAH around 50% seniority is 13ish days off and 89.x hours.

Think you need to look again. That’s not even possible. LCC was 78.5.

The post was about captain awards. In the top 1/3 lots of awards just under 70 hours. Practically every captain award is under 80 hrs. An extremely junior pilot with a 10,xxx number has a 75:56 award. Being junior in either seat on the 737 typically stinks, unless you like to fly hard.
