UA can't own 50% of any airline unless UA flight attendants work those flights, so UA will never wholly-own a regional. UA can 49%-shell-company a regional, which it has done with C5 and had done with EV.
United, Delta and American all own a piece of YX as well. No flows to any of them though. I haven’t decided if that’s the best situation to be in (contract security) or the worst (no flow). I realize flow isn’t that great of a perk to most people though. I also know it’s hard to get hired outside the flow but idk how many YXers are getting hired direct to legacies either.
