TBH, I found the GE90 powered 77 more fun to fly than the 78, and I've thought about switching back for my last couple years.
IMO, aside from thrust, there's no real noticeable difference between the Pratt and GE planes. However, beware if you're in EWR, because the trips on the 787 are way better than the trips on the 777 right now and the 777 has been shrinking every bid (no displacements, just natural attrition). I had no plan of ever going through another training cycle before I retire, but I am seriously considering going to the 787 because of that. Like you, just about everyone I've spoken to preferred flying the 777 to flying the 787.
