Reserve rules at UA are not good for commuting but living in base makes it much better. No idea how much longer the IAH 73 FO surge is going to continue, but those folks are getting a line almost immediately. You could then bid up to a bigger plane as desired.
The big advantage for Delta is that their contract is done with improved QOL and pay already settled. Their downside is slower seniority progression as compared to other majors. Everyone else is still in negotiations with uncertainty as to when they'll get caught up.
