The trend is there and it has been brought up however as you mentioned think Big D is aware of the animosities that would develop and in turn lower moral whic means lower work productivity, something we don't need more of at this juncture.
Especially since this merger thing is about to go through, with DL pilots getting something, and it looks like NW guys might get a nice royal shiny nothing out of it.

I smell animosity already brewing between those pilots groups.
