The senior FO is typically released for OE. Just because you bid with the LCA doesn't mean you are the one getting released. You may be the senior FO up until the 5pm PCS run the day prior, only to find that a senior FO swapped a primo trip to the junior FO for "your" trip buy. Some senior FOs will even call up the junior FO on an OE trip to make the offer. The ATL 350 domestic trips can be hidden gems, because they want short legs for experienced international pilots who need landings more than crossings. I've seen them buy off both the A and B positions of domestic trips just to get landings.
