The short call game has changed since the new contract. Like others have said here I used to get maybe 3 short calls a month and 95% of the time I wouldn't get used. I'm top 1/3 of west coast narrow body B category living in base.

This is my first month on reserve since the short call 1 hour pay was implemented. I was on short call 4 times (the 4 times I didn't have a long call assignment) and got used every time.

I used to plan a day off when on short call.

I think the new contract means they are putting less people on short call, so there is higher likelihood of being used.
