Although I don’t know how you’d ever accurately measure it, there is a cost associated with pilot apathy. It obviously can’t come from some attempt at an illegal work action, but pilots that don’t care anymore cost the operation money. Many of us have reached that point. CCO extensions, open time, being concerned with on time performance and efficiency, or going the extra mile just isn’t our problem.
