Why AA over a SWA/F9/Spirit/JetBlue? Diversity of narrowbody fleets and widebody flying as well as quicker upgrade opportunities and loads of retirements coming down the pipe.
Well, I agree, if you want to fly a widebody, no Major is for you anyway.
Southwest upgrades are longer than Spirit, AA and JetBlue. And Frontier's base has what, 40 pilots at the moment? Sure, it'll grow. But how much? (With regards to the DFW base, anyway).
