Not sure when you are starting, but getting 737 FO in New Hire would make getting to LAS super fast. If you are not starting for a while, then you may not be able to get to LAS as quickly. The new BES definition expires 6 months after the effective date of the first bid opening the Base, so in this case you would need an effective date of November 1st, which will prob happen on a bid in June or July. After that, if you are assigned the 320, 756, 777, 787 in New Hire you wouldn't be able to bid to LAS 737 FO for 2 years. So, you would have to wait it out on the other fleet or take the early Captain bid. Hopefully we will have a new contract that fixes many of the reasons that nobody wants a Captain bid when junior, in which case you would be commuting for the full two years.

Assignments in new hire are based on age (oldest goes first), so hopefully you aren't so young that you won't get a choice.
Thanks for the detailed reply. Not on property yet, but hoping to be soon. Trying to figure out the next 30+ years of my life in the next week.
