7-8k/month mentioned earlier is a little high of a range for training pay. There are some scenarios where you may see north of 8k but I’d plan on grossing monthly in the high 6s, 7k/mo max and if you see a little more than that, great. Benefits start immediately so they’ll start to come out of that 7k. We do get per diem in training which is a huge help on a 7k/mo salary.
It's 90 hours of first year pay, which is like 8500. Then add per diem. So, yeah, 7-8k after tax is pretty accurate.
