I’ve been living in SLC for over a decade now. No local discounts that I know of and I’d be surprised to see them for a Delta pilot considering we make way more than the median income here. There is a thread discussing the pros and cons of particular neighborhoods, I’ll see if I can find it. If I were new to the area, I’d look close to downtown; Sugarhouse, The Avenues, etc for a combination of airport convenience and night life options. If a large yard or more affordable house is part of your plan, I’d look North or the East side of the Wasatch front (Morgan, etc.) everything has gone a little crazy from a real estate cost perspective over the past 10 years or so. If you’re not Mormon, and/or you’re annoyed by Mormon cultural stuff, I’d avoid certain areas like Provo, Orem, most of Utah County, honestly.
