Welcome to the APC forums. Keep digging, there is useful info here it eventually. Usually it takes a couple of pages before things go sideways. It's unusual for the 1st response to send things into a tailspin with no Boldface being clearly stated.

Hope you find what you desire in/around SLC area.

Awww man. If that was a human, he was funny. If that was a bot, it’s been trained to understand this place perfectly. UNBAN!!!!

 

I’ve been living in SLC for over a decade now. No local discounts that I know of and I’d be surprised to see them for a Delta pilot considering we make way more than the median income here. There is a thread discussing the pros and cons of particular neighborhoods, I’ll see if I can find it. If I were new to the area, I’d look close to downtown; Sugarhouse, The Avenues, etc for a combination of airport convenience and night life options. If a large yard or more affordable house is part of your plan, I’d look North or the East side of the Wasatch front (Morgan, etc.) everything has gone a little crazy from a real estate cost perspective over the past 10 years or so. If you’re not Mormon, and/or you’re annoyed by Mormon cultural stuff, I’d avoid certain areas like Provo, Orem, most of Utah County, honestly. PM if you have any specific questions, or reach out to the CPO. Good people in there who can answer your questions.
