Congratulations on having 500 bucks sitting around to buy airline stocks! I would not recommend purchasing stock from any airline--including Southwest (symb: LUV). I would advise taking that money and putting it into some sort of savings account for a "rainy day", which this industry is full of these days. Better yet, maybe bury it in a can in your backyard!
