Will they combine wholly-owned carriers (Comair, Mesaba and Compass), will they dump contract carriers (Pinnacle, Republic, etc..)? Who knows? Lots of variables to take into account with hubs, route overlap, aircraft types, seniority integration issues, company control, etc.
I tend to think that it may not be a good thing for us as Comair, but we will have to wait and see. Selvaggio seems to think we will be okay (per the latest conference call), but that may just be corporate rhetoric.
I was thinking the same thing....that this'll be really really really (x100) good..or really really really (x100) bad for Comair.
I never thought there would be an in-between.
I've heard mumbles of DL and NW going to wholly owned regionals only...or them going primarily wholly owned with one or two other contracts floating around.
