I'll never forget that morning!
A GV will peg a 6,000 FPM rate of climb indicator (EFIS) with 10,000 pounds of fuel, 5 pax + bags, 80 degrees at sea level and normal procedures applied. Nothing special, just climb at 200KCAS while in the Class D and you're climbing better than 6,000FPM.
