Don’t need stuff for kids nearby, but convenience to shopping, gym and parks would be a plus. Ideally within the 300k range, outside the city tax zones, no HOA preferred. I'm in the Steele Creek area of Southwest CLT. My 33 year old 2648 sq ft home is valued around $430K. Homes in the 1500 sq ft range have been running in the mid-300K range. I walk around the area quite a bit and the number of homes for sale have plummeted since interest rates went up. I'm about a 20-25 min drive to the employee lot at KCLT so it's a good area for someone who works at the airport. To get a home below $300K you're going to looking at a townhome, or else you'll have to go way out to Clover or similar areas.
Go to zillow.com and search around the area, it'll give you an idea of prices.
