From where I sit the real question is how bad do you want a legacy job? The *safest* path to that is go to a regional, upgrade, and then get hired by a competing legacy (they are known to "meter" their own regional CA's so it would probably be faster to go to a competitor.
Legacies are also hiring from LCC's, but if it turns out that you need TPIC to get a legacy call it will probably take longer to upgrade at a LCC.
But since regionals seem to be backed up with FO hiring and training, a LCC might get you on line faster even if the upgrade is longer.
All of the legacy carriers are hiring FO’s from LCCs with zero TPIC time. Once you’ve completed training at an LCC, update your apps and watch the phone calls/emails from the legacy carriers roll in.
