The question you have to ask yourself is if the cost of ATP/CTP is worth six months of seniority. To some it is.
The big four are already getting to the bottom of the barrel, the low tiers like Spirit, Frontier, and Jetblue are moments away from dropping the CTP requirement all together. In the brief interim though you might be able to get on faster by knocking it out.
