FSB lines actually went senior at my last airline because you usually credited in the mid 90’s. No one got forced into them. Many locals were happy to spend most nights at home and make an extra 20 hours of pay to just have to sit at the airport for a few hours.

Make getting rolled into days off opt in the month prior then bump up min days off by one or two for those that opt in, and make lost days pay 100%. I guarantee there are enough money hounds out there it would barely affect the company’s ability to bounce back after irops or general flexibility while greatly increasing QOL for those of us that just want to be at home on the days we bid off.
see yes if it’s voluntary and some pilots may choose to do it for extra compensation especially if it isn’t a big inconvenience for them. But I doubt it’ll become voluntary. My post was meant to say they aren’t improving qol they are simply going to throw more money at the issue to shut people up.

there plenty of ways to earn extra income at other airlines voluntarily for those that want more work. So keeping items that are inherently bad for qol and simply paying more for them isn’t a win.
