Several years ago this guy in the crashpad was having heart palpitations. Went to the doctor. During the examination doctor asks him how much coffee he drinks.

He says "I'm an airline pilot. So... all of it? Coffee is a food group"

Doc says before we go nuts with tests and specialists and whatnot, do me a favor and cut out caffeine for two weeks and then come back and see me.

A week later, no more palpitations. He doesn't drink coffee (or caffeinated soft drinks) anymore. Sucks sometimes on early AMs or late PMs, but beats the alternative I suspect..
