As this is my first regional interview, though I realize very cursory, I am going to take the interview for the experience and ask lots of questions about the contract. If they were to completely remove the $100K penalty clause (section III), I would be fine with the other penalties ($15K per 6 months upon making CA). I can't fathom taking a deal where they can come after me for $100K if I leave for *ANY* reason, including them dropping me for performance issues or me losing my medical for an unforeseen, uncontrollable reason.
Obviously, they won't tailor the contract to each new hire so I'm more looking to get his comments/description of the new hire contract. Stay tuned.
