Uh, What?? You either haven't been here very long or are opting to ignore a very critical aspect of Comair's place at Delta's dinner table, especially when it comes to union representation. I'm betting it's the former because if you've been paying attention you would know that the hard-fought efforts of the RJDC, love 'em or hate 'em, reached a small milestone recently that resulted in ALPA national including Comair ALPA in negotiations that affect us as a wholly-owned regional affiliate of a major carrier who is also ALPA.
The other thing you left out is that Compass is represented by the same MEC as Northwest mainline ALPA. Geez, imagine that, two wholly-owned regionals with scope and flow through and the whole nine yards. What a concept. So if you think that we're "along for the ride" then be my guest. That defeatist attitude is exactly why our own MEC and pilot group endorsed THREE pay concessions in the last four years.....THREE...with not one iota of growth as a result. Doubt me? Ask our brothers at ASA about our pay concessions/freezes when they were in contract negotiations over the last five years. I've been here long enough to have my pay frozen, cut, a bankruptcy and I've been furloughed. Along for the ride, my arse. Not anymore.
