After meeting with ALPA, and studying the pros/cons, the APA ALPA Merger Exploratory Committee's findings are unanimous- they are recommending we form a committee to officially merge with ALPA.
The APA BOD will vote on this June 1+2... this week. Call your reps and let them know you are in support of moving forward with merging with ALPA.
Important: know that this merger process WILL NOT affect the current AIP/TA.
Spread the word and call your reps. Tell them to vote yes. As we have seen in this current sub-par AIP, APA as an independent union does not have the resources or structure to negotiate a Delta ALPA-like contract. We need to band together to be stronger to defend this next contract and negotiate a better one in the next section 6.
