True, but the first step to recovery is admitting there is a problem.
I was also struck by his claim to reassert Captain's authority "across work groups". And it's refreshing to also see admission that blind adherence to data and metrics can "allow ourselves to become so rigid that we start making decisions that actually don’t make sense". The Pentagon doesn't hold a candle to the "paralysis by analysis" we have at the widget. It never ceases to amaze how quickly Mgmt can lose the forest for the trees. If there is follow-trough on that, it will be a welcome change.
Also, an open door policy... That could be interesting.
