I suggest everyone open the Section 3 View Full Section Info link on fdxta.com and look at the charts the NC has laid out for us. Based on their assumptions, you see comparisons of pay rates to other carriers based on the 777, 767, and 757. Assuming you trust these assumptions in comparisons of pay, you still would be a NO voter based on pay being the number two most important item in our openers. When looking at these charts, the 777 pay charts are the only ones that beat UPS, our nearest comparison carrier. To further see how bad this is, looking at our master seniority list with a total of 6009 pilots, only 1,471 pilots total are on the 777. This math equates to 24.48% of our crew force. Based on this simple math, over 75% of our pilots will receive lower pay than UPS. Even worse, the 757 pilots are substantially less than UPS since UPS has a single pay rate for captains and first officers. How does this equate to industry leading pay rates if we can’t even beat our closest comparison carrier? For this reason alone, the vote should be NO.
