A word of warning, this is not how scheduling is interpreting the contract. I just had this situation happen today. Again I picked up a green slip to drop a horrible 5 day reserve assignment starting tomorrow (that was assigned yesterday). This time (unlike last week) it was only a 1 day green slip. They put the PB days in my bank rather than putting it on the RES day tomorrow and the horrible 5 day trip still remains on my schedule. When I called scheduling and quoted PWA Section 23.Q.6.c.Exception, they said it doesn't work like that because there was no conflict with the trip already on my schedule and they would not put a PB day on it because it's now not a RES day but an assigned reserve trip. I've ACED it.
I think this new contract gave the company some efficiencies with assigning trips 2 days out thus limiting our ability to avoid reserve trips with green slips and payback days.
BTW anybody have a reference to where I can find out how many PB days you are due? I think I remember somewhere that if a trip gets back after a certain time (I think it is 15:00) then you get 2 payback days but I can't find that reference. I'm also assuming to be awarded 2 payback days for a 1 day green slip your next day needs to be an X day not a RES day?
