I was out in that in PHL and much of that blame lies squarely at the FAA/ATC. They shut down our departures for hours based on a spotty/broken like of scattered single-cell thunderstorms (eventually formed a solid line), but when they stopped our departures, it wasn't much of anything.
I was there and you are right. That was outside Delta’s control. It hasn’t been perfect but I do agree that this Summer has been much better than I thought as far as crew coverage/meltdowns go! I’m looking forward to Valentine’s Day
